Levés de bonne heure, je mets une machine de linge à 8 h, les torchons, serviettes et chiffons de Hera II. Jens va en ville acheter une bâche pour couvrir Hera II. A 9 h, la machine à laver est finie et je mets le linge, mouillé dans le bateau, il séchera au « yard » en face. A 9 h 30, nous partons, Jens en bateau et moi en voiture, et cette fois nous n’oublions pas les vélos. Jens arrive avant moi, je me perds un peu, surtout qu’une rue en ville est barrée : des peintres peignent des lignes sur la rue pour le défilé des écoles demain, le jour du non, quand les grecs ont dit non aux Italiens qui leur disaient de se rendre pendant la deuxième guerre mondiale. J’arrive quand les marineros sont en train de mettre les sangles sous Hera II pour la soulever. Jens va payer le « yard » et, tout de suite va en ville (en passant par le tunnel sous-marin) pour arranger tous les papiers : Port Police, Emigration et Douanes. Je reste à suivre le procédé de la sortie de l’eau d’Hera II. Tout se passe bien, ils la lavent avec un jet haute-pression et l’emmènent à sa place. Jens revient juste à ce moment. Je mets la dernière machine en route ici, au yard, les draps, comme cela tout est lavé et le linge sèche vite ici. Jens a constaté que l’hélice a un problème mais il n’a pas le temps de le réparer. Il parle avec un mécanicien ici, qui pourra le faire. Lunch sur Hera II à terre, le soleil tape et le parasol que nous avions acheté à Lixouri ayant été volé, nous mettons un drap pour faire de l’ombre. Nous trions le linge, récupérons ce qui est à nous et allons le remporter. Il fait chaud, nous avons bien travaillé donc nous avons bien mérité une bonne baignade. Nous allons en voiture à l’immense plage au nord-ouest de Preveza, près de Mytikas. Quel plaisir ! Et en plus je trouve deux fleurs. Nous partons demain et commençons le grand voyage du retour en voiture.

Up early, I put on a washing machine at 8 am, the tea

arrives before me, I get a little lost, especially since a street in town is
blocked off: painters are painting lines on the street for the school parade
tomorrow, the day of no, when the Greeks said no to the Italians who were telling
them to surrender during World War II. I arrive when the marineros are putting
the straps under Hera II to lift her. Jens pays pay the yard and immediately go
to town (through the underwater tunnel) to arrange all the papers: Port Police,
Emigration and Customs. I stay to follow the process of getting Hera II out of
the water. Everything goes well, they wash her with a high-pressure jet and
take her to her place. Jens comes back just then. I start the last machine
here, in the yard, the bed clothes, like that, everything is washed and the
laundry dries quickly here. Jens has noticed that the propeller has a problem
but he has no time to fix it. He speaks with a mechanic here, who can do it.
Lunch on Hera II on the ground, the sun is beating down and the parasol we had
bought in Lixouri having been stolen, we put on a sheet to provide shade. We
sort the laundry, collect what is ours and take it home. It's hot, we worked
well so we deserved a good swim. We drive to the huge beach northwest of
Preveza, near Mytikas. What a pleasure ! And in addition I find two flowers. We
leave tomorrow and begin the long journey home by car.
PS: No blog tomorrow. We take a ferry from Igoumenitsa
(Greece) to Ancona (Italy). The crossing lasts 20 hours.
