Nuit calme et beau temps ce matin. Jens rame jusqu’à la
plage et nous faisons un petit tour. Autant Sifnos était sèche, autant ici
c’est vert et je trouve plusieurs fleurs. Après une baignade, nous partons à
midi et quart pour Corfou que nous voyons au loin. Pas de vent mais des vagues
venant de derrière, pas bien méchantes mais il faut caler la vaisselle. Après
une heure, les vagues se calment et le reste de la traversée est tranquille, le
peu de vent étant juste en face de nous. Arrivée à Kerkera (le nom grec de
Corfou) à 16 h 45. Ile très fortifiée au cours du temps, grands murs et
forteresses. La marina, Port Mandraki, est sous les remparts. Cela fait penser
à Malte, ile fortifiée elle aussi. Ici, pas besoin de mettre l’ancre, il y a
des « mooring lines », ce que nous appelions le « muerto »,
une forte corde fixée au fond à un bloc de béton que nous amarrons sur
l’arrière d’Hera II. Ankerdram, puis Jens commence à assembler tous les papiers
nécessaires pour sortir de Grèce demain et moi je finis le blog commencé en
route. Nous sortons ensuite et il faut traverser la forteresse. Nous dinons en
ville et assistons au repas d’au moins 15 chats.

Calm night and good weather this morning. Jens rows to
the beach and we take a short walk. As much as Sifnos was dry, here it is green
and I find several flowers. After a swim, we leave at a quarter past twelve for
Corfu, which we see in the distance. No wind but waves coming from behind, not big
but we have to wedge the dishes. After an hour, the waves calm down and the rest
of the crossing is calm, the little wind being just in front of us. Arrival in
Kerkera (the Greek name of Corfu) at 4:45 p.m. Island very fortified over time,
great walls and fortresses. The marina, Port Mandraki, is under the ramparts.
This is reminiscent of Malta, a fortified island too. Here, no need to anchor,
there are "mooring lines", what we called the "muerto", a
strong rope fixed at the bottom to a concrete block that we moor at the back of
Hera II . Ankerdram, then Jens starts assembling all the necessary papers to
leave Greece tomorrow and I finish the blog started on the way. We then go out
and we have to cross the fortress. We dine in town and attend the meals of at
least 15 cats.
